The agreement
These terms apply to the hosted service at app.nvisy.com and to this website. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are able to bind it.
The engine is also available as open source. Your use of the source code is governed by the licence shipped with it, not by these terms.
Private beta
The service is in private beta. Access is by invitation and we may end it, for everyone or for a single account, at any time.
Beta means what it usually means: features change without notice, the API is not stable, and there is no uptime commitment. Do not build a production dependency on it yet. We will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data before shutting an account down, except where an account is being terminated for the reasons in Acceptable use below.
There is no charge during private beta. If we introduce paid plans we will set out the pricing terms before anything becomes billable, and you will not be charged for a plan you did not choose.
Your account
Keep your credentials and API tokens secret, and tell us promptly if you think they have been exposed. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite into your workspace.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Your content
Your documents remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service on them: to store, process, and transmit them so we can perform the redaction you requested and produce its audit trail. That permission ends when you delete the content or close the account. Afterwards we may still hold residual copies until the retention period set out in the Privacy Policy expires and deletion completes, and during that window we may do nothing with them except delete them.
We do not train models on your documents.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for holding whatever legal basis your jurisdiction requires when the documents contain other people’s personal data. Redaction is a tool; it does not by itself make processing lawful.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to infringe someone’s rights, or to process material you have no right to. Do not attempt to breach or probe the service’s security, interfere with other tenants, circumvent usage limits, or resell access.
Do not use redaction to conceal evidence you are legally required to preserve or produce.
We may suspend an account immediately where use threatens the service or other customers, or where we are required to.
What we do not promise
The service is provided as is. During beta we make no warranty that it will be available, uninterrupted, or error free.
Redaction is automated and imperfect. Detection can miss an entity or flag something that is not one. You are responsible for reviewing output before you rely on it, and the review tools exist for that reason. We do not warrant that output meets any particular legal or regulatory standard, and nothing here is legal advice about your compliance obligations.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data.
Because the service is currently provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to one hundred US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Ending it
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We can end your access as described under Private beta and Acceptable use.
When an account closes, your data is deleted according to the retention settings described in the Privacy Policy. Export anything you want to keep first.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
